Project description:
Signature Building
Louis Dreyfus Property Group is developing
1101 New York Avenue,Washington’s newest
landmark building that will set the standard
for architecture and construction in the city.
Designed by Kevin Roche to meet the highest standards
of quality and efficiency, it offers
tenants the latest in building systems to ensure their
comfort and productivity.
The building’s unique structural system results in
no perimeter columns on three sides of the
393,000-square-foot Class A building.
The clear glass facade, dark granite base, glass
canopy and its unusually open position on
New York Avenue provide a strong identity for
executive tenants in the building.
The entrance lobby is distinguished by elegant
materials and finishes, including granite,
marble, anigré wood and zinc alloy trim.
Neighborhood Revitalization
The area surrounding 1101 New York Avenue
is part of the revitalization of Washington’s downtown
core. When the site of the old Convention
Center is redeveloped, additional retail and residential
facilities will be brought into the area as well as
entertainment venues
and public spaces.
